Historical Pictures of a monument to Thomas Frick and the first cemetery used in the late 1700 and early 1800’s.  This site is in Little Mountain, SC and is on private property and only accessible by foot or tractor.

This picture is of the very first burial grounds for the Frick  Family.  (Note that carved rocks mark the resting place of early ancestors)

This marker is the only one in this cemetery with any writing.   It says “Mary December 22, 1807”

This is believed to be the the grave site of Mary Rittheimer.  She was born in 1747, which would have made her 60 in 1807.  She would have died before 1816 when Thomas II married his 2nd wife.  Sources indicate that Mary Rittheimer & Thomas II are buried at the Frick Family Cemetery.  There is no marker for them at the Frick Family cemetery where Thomas III and family or buried.  There is a high degree of probability that they are buried at this site.

This is a survey of the Frick Family Cemetery at Little Mountain, SC.  This cemetery is located off Highway 76, which runs from Chapin to Little Mountain (St. Peters Church Road).  From Chapin it is about 4 miles until you take a left on a dirt road named Stephens Creek Rd.  Cemetery is on the left about ¼ of a mile.

These tombstones are located in the Frick Family Cemetery.  Some of the individuals have the original marker plus an added new marker.  The only marker for Adam Frick seems to be a new one.  Pictures are shown for many tombstones but for the ones that don’t have pictures available there is a transcription of what is on the tombstone.
